FONPLATA files its first USD 2 Billion Medium-Term Note Program
FONPLATA registered its first Medium-Term Note Program (MTN) on the London Stock Exchange, with a limit of up to USD 2 billion, marking a significant step toward strengthening its presence within international financial markets.
This Program will provide FONPLATA with a flexible and efficient mechanism for issuing debt instruments across various international markets, in multiple currencies and with varying maturities.
In line with FONPLATA’s issuer rating, the Program has received high-quality credit ratings: Moody’s has rated it “A2,” while S&P assigned an “A” rating for long-term issuances and “A-1+” for short-term issuances. These ratings reflect FONPLATA’s financial strength and prudent management, positioning it as a reliable option for investors seeking top-quality Latin American issuers.
This Program represents a strategic milestone in FONPLATA’s efforts to diversify its funding sources, expanding its access to capital markets and reinforcing its commitment to offering competitive and sustainable solutions for its member countries.
