Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the activities of the Sustainability Committee and monitor its key initiatives and results.
  • Oversee the implementation and updating of the Sustainable Debt Framework and the preparation of related reports, contributing to the strengthening of sustainable funding activities.
  • Coordinate compliance with international ESG standards and the preparation of sustainability reports, promoting the incorporation of relevant metrics.
  • Support the development of economic and financial analyses under different climate scenarios.
  • Contribute to the design and structuring of sustainable finance products and instruments.
  • Collaborate in the development of methodologies and guidelines aligned with international standards for climate impact measurement and sustainability assessment.
  • Promote the integration of sustainability policies, strategies, tools, and methodologies into the Bank’s operations and corporate management.
  • Provide technical and operational support for accessing and managing international climate and sustainability funds, including the monitoring and reporting of financed operations.
  • Act as the focal point for coordinating ESG-related matters with multilateral development banks, development agencies, and other external stakeholders.
  • Manage and promote ESG training and outreach programs for Bank staff and counterparts.

Academic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Financial Engineering, Economics, or a related field.
  • Master’s degree in environmental economics, Sustainable Finance, Public Policy, or a related discipline (preferred).
  • Native-level or B2 proficiency in Spanish and/or Portuguese; B2-level proficiency in English is desirable

Professional Experience

  • Minimum of 6 years of general experience in sustainable finance, sustainable development financing, climate risk management, or development effectiveness.
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in concessional financing related to climate and sustainability, with a focus on the Green Climate Fund (GCF) and other international environmental funds.
  • Experience supporting capital mobilization instruments such as green, social, or sustainability bonds, sustainability-linked loans, or climate risk management solutions.
  • Previous experience in Multilateral Development Banks, International Organizations, Public Sector Institutions, or private-sector entities involved in infrastructure projects aligned with international norms and standards (preferred).
