S&P ratifies FONPLATA's risk rating assessing its growth process

Standard and Poor's affirms FONPLATA Banco de Desarrollo's risk ratings, both long-term at A, and short-term at A-1. The outlook remains stable. This action reinforces the relevance that FONPLATA represents for the region.

The report highlights the progress that the Bank has made both in strengthening its internal policies, operational capabilities, and financial profile, without neglecting the mandate to meet the financing needs of its member countries.

The assessment made by the rating agency places FONPLATA at a more favorable level of credit risk than its five country members (Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Paraguay, and Uruguay).
