AgroTECH Bolivia 2026: FONPLATA Promotes Dialogue to Support Technological Innovation in Agriculture
As part of its support for Bolivia’s sustainable productive development, FONPLATA participated as a sponsor of AgroTECH Bolivia 2026, a forum that brings together specialists, international organizations, financial institutions, and representatives of the agricultural sector to analyze how innovation and technology can help strengthen agriculture—a national priority.
During the event—organized by the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture (IICA) Bolivia, the Eastern Agricultural Chamber (CAO), and Ayuda en Acción—, the Bank convened experts from multiple organizations to discuss the importance of building partnerships and creating collaborative workspaces to accelerate the adoption of technologies, reduce gaps in access to knowledge and financing, boost productivity, and promote more sustainable and resilient agri-food systems.
The discussion—both at the main forum and in FONPLATA’s dedicated space—addressed topics such as agricultural digitization, artificial intelligence, technology transfer, inclusion of small and medium-sized farmers, access to markets, and the potential of innovation to attract new generations to the rural sector.
Through this initiative, FONPLATA seeks to support one of Bolivia’s key development priorities: strengthening the competitiveness and sustainability of agriculture through innovation, dialogue, and coordination among stakeholders, helping transform sectoral challenges into opportunities for growth.
