FONPLATA’s First Official Visit to Bolivia’s New Government
On December 2 and 3, FONPLATA — Development Bank carried out its first official mission in La Paz to meet with the new authorities of the Plurinational State of Bolivia. The mission reaffirmed the Bank's commitment to support the country's development priorities through agile financing and solutions tailored to territorial needs.
The delegation was led by FONPLATA's Executive President, Luciana Botafogo, who was accompanied by the Vice President of Operations and Countries, Eliana Dam, and the Country Coordinator for Bolivia, Blas Rozada. Present at the work meetings were: José Luis Lupo, Minister of the Presidency; José Gabriel Espinoza, Minister of Economy and Public Finance; Christian Morales, Deputy Minister of Treasury and Public Credit; José Fernando Romero Pinto, Minister of Planning and Environment; Deputy Minister Fernando Moisés Jiménez Zeballos; José Luis Llanos Rocha, Deputy Minister of Strategic State Planning; and Omar Peñaloza, Deputy Minister of Science and Technology.
A coordination lunch was also held with representatives of the IDB, World Bank, and CAF in Bolivia, reinforcing the commitment to cooperation and coordinated work among the multilateral development banks present in the country.
FONPLATA reiterates its commitment to supporting Bolivia in the implementation of projects that promote integration, sustainability, and territorial development, contributing to the well-being of its population. The Bank will continue to work closely and collaboratively with the Government to advance its strategic priorities and strengthen development efforts throughout the country.
