FONPLATA strengthens Bolivia’s development with works and job creation

FPS

FONPLATA's Executive Board of Directors, during its meeting in Maceió, Brazil, approved a USD 100 million loan to Bolivia, channeled through the Urban Infrastructure for Employment Generation Program which will benefit the nine departments in the country.

This is the fourth operation of this kind financed by FONPLATA in the country, providing continuity to the public policies developed by the Plurinational State of Bolivia. Interventions include road infrastructure and urban equipment works, job creation and certified capacity building, focused on vulnerable social sectors such as women and youth.

The implementation of this Program will improve the population's access to health centers, educational establishments, recreational and cultural spaces, promote sports and social integration, and allow the creation of green areas that contribute to urban resilience and environmental preservation.

It is expected that the program, like its previous versions, will have a great social and economic impact on the Bolivian population.
