FONPLATA strengthens dialogue with investors in Asia through meetings in Hong Kong, Seoul and Tokyo

FONPLATA

Between March 2 and 6, 2026, FONPLATA’s Vice President of Finance, Matías Mednik, together with the Head of Financial Resources Management, Rodrigo Saráchaga, held meetings with investors in Hong Kong, Seoul, and Tokyo as part of the Bank’s investor engagement strategy aimed at strengthening its presence in international capital markets.

This marked the first time that FONPLATA has undertaken an initiative of this kind in Asia. The effort was designed to both deepen the dialogue with accounts that have already participated in the Bank’s issuances and establish contact with potential new investors. Throughout the week, several meetings were held with institutional investors in these financial centers, during which the Bank’s evolution, recent developments, and funding outlook were presented.

These meetings strengthened awareness of FONPLATA among Asian investors, while also supporting the continued expansion and diversification of the Bank’s investor base. It is worth noting that investors from the region played a prominent role in the Bank’s issuances over the past year, representing approximately 60% of the total placements.

As part of this agenda, FONPLATA also participated in the Daiwa Latin Day, an event organized by Daiwa Securities that brings together high-credit-quality Latin American issuers and Japanese institutional investors. Held since 2015, the event has become one of Japan’s leading platforms for promoting dialogue between local investors and investment-grade issuers from Latin America.
