From July 8 to 10, 2025, the Development Bank welcomed a delegation from Italy’s Cassa Depositi e Prestiti (CDP) to its headquarters in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia, with the aim of strengthening cooperation between the two institutions.

Over the course of three working days, technical meetings were held with various FONPLATA departments, addressing key topics such as financial planning, risk management, environmental and social sustainability.. The agenda also included a review of the project portfolio, monitoring and evaluation mechanisms, and collaboration on new opportunities within the Mercosur context.

“We thank FONPLATA for the warm welcome during CDP’s mission to Bolivia. This meeting strengthens the partnership between our two institutions, within the framework of the deep historical ties between Italy and Latin America, and with a view toward new cooperation opportunities in the Mercosur region,” stated Davide Petrangeli, Head of Multilateral Institutions & Public Development Banks Financing at CDP, at the conclusion of the mission’s activities, which also saw the participation of Antonio D'Arasmo, Investment Officer at CDP..

This activity was part of ongoing efforts to build strategic alliances and promote the financing of projects that drive the economic and social development of member countries.
