FONPLATA participates in Energy Week organized by OLADE
The X Energy Week, organized by the Latin American Energy Organization (OLADE), took place from September 30 to October 3, 2025, in Santiago, Chile, consolidating its position as one of the most important events for the energy sector in Latin America and the Caribbean.
For the second consecutive year, FONPLATA — Development Bank sponsored the initiative, underscoring its commitment to strengthening the sustainable energy sector across its member countries. The event convened government authorities, thought leaders, academics, experts, and business executives to discuss trends, challenges, and opportunities in the context of the global energy transition.
Representing the Development Bank, Blas Rozada and Marina Dockweiler actively participated in strategic dialogue sessions. Ms. Dockweiler, Socio-Environmental Specialist, joined the panel “Building Energy Resilience in Latin America,” alongside representatives from ADELAT, ENEL Chile, CARILEC, and the Inter-American Development Bank. The discussion focused on strategies for responding to and adapting energy systems to growing service demands and increasing vulnerability to climate variability.
During her remarks, Dockweiler emphasized: “Energy resilience cannot be approached solely through infrastructure. It is essential to strengthen local capacities, regulatory frameworks, and regional cooperation mechanisms that enable agile and effective responses to climate challenges.”
She also stressed FONPLATA’s integrated approach to project development: “At FONPLATA, we promote a sectoral perspective that connects infrastructure, knowledge, and governance. The energy transition requires not only technical solutions, but also social and territorial ones.”
Through its sponsorship and active participation in Energy Week, FONPLATA reaffirms its role as a strategic partner in financing projects that enhance energy security and sustainability across the region.
