The 196th Meeting of FONPLATA’s Executive Board of Directors was held on Thursday, September 19, in Ciudad del Este, Paraguay, with the presence of representatives of all member countries. Besides discussing institutional issues,  an additional funding of USD 20 million was granted to BADESUL, the Development Agency of the State of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, for the reconstruction of cities and companies severely affected by climate change.

The meeting was attended by the following authorities: Matías Javier Mana representing Argentina; Antonio Mullisaca Diaz and Juana Jiménez representing Bolivia; Fabio Bueno and João Rossi representing Brazil; Oscar Pérez López and Francisco Ogura representing Paraguay; and Fernando Luis Scelza and Valérie Stahl representing Uruguay. The Executive President of FONPLATA, Luciana Botafogo, was also present accompanied by the Bank's senior management.
