FONPLATA at the ALIDE Annual Assembly
FONPLATA — Development Bank participated in the 55th General Assembly of the Latin American Association of Development Financing Institutions (ALIDE), held May 19–22 in Asunción, Paraguay.
The event brought together development banks, multilateral organizations, financial institutions, and key regional stakeholders to exchange experiences, analyze emerging trends, and strengthen the contribution of development banking to sustainable and inclusive growth in Latin America and the Caribbean.
FONPLATA was represented by Claudia Gutiérrez, Head of the Strategic Alliances Area, and Raphael Lenzi, Senior Specialist in Strategic Alliances, who held a series of bilateral meetings aimed at enhancing the Bank’s positioning and expanding opportunities for cooperation.
In meetings with strategic partners such as KfW, CDP, AFD, and ICO, FONPLATA’s delegation discussed ways to deepen existing partnerships by advancing ongoing initiatives and exploring new avenues for collaboration.
As part of the Bank’s efforts to strengthen its engagement with key stakeholders in potential member countries, the delegation also met with Colombia’s National Development Finance Corporation (FDN) and Bancóldex.
The agenda also included discussions to promote new partnerships with institutions such as FEDES, GGGI, and MIGA, as well as follow-up meetings on FONPLATA’s accreditation process with the Green Climate Fund (GCF).
FONPLATA’s participation in ALIDE 2026 reaffirms its commitment to building strategic partnerships that enable resource mobilization, knowledge sharing, and greater impact on the region’s sustainable and inclusive development.
