FONPLATA Completes a New USD 50 Million 15-Year Sustainable Bond Issuance

FONPLATA – Development Bank successfully completed a new USD 50 million private placement on July 21 under its Medium-Term Note (MTN) Program, issued pursuant to its Sustainable Debt Framework. The transaction reaffirms the Bank's ability to access international capital markets on a recurring basis while continuing to diversify its funding sources.

The transaction consisted of a 15-year fixed-rate sustainable note denominated in U.S. dollars, maturing in July 2041, with an annual coupon of 6.002%. The notes were placed with an Asian institutional investor, reinforcing the position that FONPLATA has been steadily building in Asian capital markets as part of its strategy to diversify its investor base.

With this transaction, FONPLATA continues to execute its 2026 funding plan, bringing total funding raised this year to USD 570 million, of which more than 90% has been sourced from capital markets. The Bank's current funding plan contemplates raising up to an additional USD 500 million during the remainder of the year, subject to its financing needs and prevailing market conditions.
