The Executive President of the Bank, Luciana Botafogo, participated in the Nordic business seminar Sustainable Nordics 2024 that was held on September 25, in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The event aims at promoting sustainable development and strengthening trade relations between the Nordic countries and the countries of the region, with a focus on green transition, sustainable growth, and social sustainability.

Botafogo stated that FONPLATA, composed of the MERCOSUR countries, works on the integration of the region, prioritizing sustainability and actions for the development of smart cities. She also highlighted some projects financed by the Bank focused on the energy transition, the construction of water and sanitation networks and plants, reforestation and the construction of green areas aimed at improving the quality of life.

Before the other speakers — ambassadors, directors of public and private companies — the Executive President emphasized that investing in the countries of the region is a great opportunity.
